Wuppertal / Bergkamen – Award for the rehabilitation of connecting pipes: With the RS MaxLiner® system, Rohr Frei Zimmerbeutel has now received the first house connection seal of the Siebert + Knipschild testing institute. It was awarded for continuously successful construction site samples submitted by Zimmerbeutel last year.

The seal was presented at the company’s site in Wuppertal. Markus Dinklage, Sales Manager for Germany at RS Technik AG, also took the opportunity to congratulate the company. After all, Zimmerbeutel received the seal for the installation of the RS MaxLiner®, the epoxy resin-based system from RS Technik that has proven itself in house connection renovations.
Since 2015, Siebert + Knipschild has been awarding seals for contractors in the field of main sewer renovation. Until now, the seal was not available for house connection projects with diameters up to about DN 200. “Not so far”, as Andreas Haacker points out. “The start has now been made. It is true that the need for quality control is often not known to private clients. But we can see that quality awareness is definitely important in the house connection sector,” says Haacker.
Quality in focus at all times
The company Rohr Frei Zimmerbeutel has gained experience in the field of connecting pipes over many years and has always attached great importance to quality. “Private clients in particular are sometimes still critical of the principle of trenchless rehabilitation – here we can create a lot of trust with good work, high standards and a proven track record,” says managing director Axel Zimmerbeutel.
“The Zimmerbeutel company has been installing our RS MaxLiner® for many years and we are very proud that the good execution and safe process quality has been awarded with the first quality seal for house connection liners”. Markus Dinklage is pleased.
Strict criteria fulfilled
“The quality criteria for awarding the seal are very strict and we hope that other companies will follow this example,” adds Haacker. This means that at least 95 percent of the characteristic values required in the approval must be fulfilled. At least 20 tests from at least four different projects are included in the statistics. In addition to the waterproofness, laminate structure and wall thickness, the cross-linking of the resin system is demonstrated by means of a sample about the size of a two-euro coin.
